Oktober

Bible Study and Prayer Meeting

Donnerstag, 29. Oktober 2026
This is a mid-week Bible study and prayer meeting at a church. It begins with a hymn (Grace Greater Than Our Sin), a welcome to a visiting Bible course teacher and his family, and an introductory reading from Romans 3 about humanity's sin and God's grace through Jesus. A short opening prayer follows. The lesson continues a doctrine series based on Arlo Newell's book, moving to the topic 'Sin, the Human Problem'. The teacher first covers what Scripture says about humankind: the four fundamental questions of origin, purpose, morality and destiny, creation in God's image, the outer and inner man (body, soul, spirit), and our purpose to glorify and worship God. The lesson ends with the fall in Genesis 3, Satan's twisting of God's word, the first death of an animal to clothe Adam and Eve, and the hope of 1 Corinthians 15:22. The meeting closes with praise reports, including street evangelism testimonies, prayer requests for the upcoming Bible course and church conference, the fires in BC, an earthquake in Colombia, persecuted believers and a dying sister with brother Wayne, followed by a time of group prayer led by several participants.
